This unit focuses on licensing, audience intelligence, and marketing, playing a crucial role in managing rights, conducting audience analysis, and providing promotional materials for NMD products. The intern will work closely with the Chief of the Unit and contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing the understanding of audience needs and improving content delivery. The internship is designed to be full-time and in-person, with flexibility to accommodate the successful candidate's needs. The expected duration of the internship is between three to six months, providing a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in a dynamic international environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist in several key areas, including:
Supporting the review of historical research efforts to identify data gaps and contribute to developing a standardized research framework for departmental initiatives.
Compiling a centralized directory of secondary data sources and aiding in the creation of a toolkit for collecting primary research and audience insights.
Organizing research inputs into a structured Market Intelligence Template and supporting documentation to ensure consistency in analysis.
Developing and testing a library of prompts for large language models (LLMs) to assist in synthesizing market reports and exploring audience personas.
Creating a 'Search Demand' module within the template to identify audience interests and inform content planning.
Reviewing and documenting visual and creative trends used by comparable organizations to enhance engagement techniques.
Ensuring that research approaches consider diverse and underrepresented audience perspectives, promoting inclusivity in content creation.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in standard software applications, a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, and the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Educational Background: Candidates must be students in their final year of a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. program.
