Job Overview:
The internship aims to provide a structured and qualifying professional experience in knowledge management, communication, and support functions within the UNICEF Representation. The intern will contribute to the management, organization, and valorization of knowledge, collect best practices from programs, and assist in implementing communication, monitoring, and coordination activities. This role is designed to enhance the intern's technical and professional skills in an international environment, particularly focusing on the inclusion of young women and persons with disabilities. The internship is part of the Excellence in Women and Inclusion Program, which aims to improve the employability of youth by exposing them to UNICEF's professional standards and diverse work environments, including connections to the private sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Representative, the intern will be responsible for supporting knowledge management and organization within the Representation, including filing, archiving, and structuring documents. They will contribute to writing, revising, and editing documents such as notes, speeches, briefs, presentations, and reports. The intern will also participate in managing and updating content on internal platforms (notably SharePoint), support the capitalization of activities, best practices, and lessons learned, and assist in monitoring the Representation's activities and updating tracking tools. Additionally, they will help manage and animate communication materials (social media, institutional content), prepare meetings, events, and representation activities (logistics, documentation, follow-up), collect, analyze, and synthesize strategic information, and support the coordination and monitoring of certain cross-cutting projects or initiatives. The intern may also execute any other related tasks assigned by the hierarchy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 25 years, with a particular focus on young women and persons with disabilities. The internship is inclusive, promoting gender equality and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in social sciences, gender studies, international development, communication, journalism, sociology, political science, development economics, public policy, or any other relevant field related to gender equality, youth participation, and social development.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, along with a good level of English. Knowledge of one of the local languages of Guinea is considered an asset, enhancing the intern's ability to communicate effectively within the local context and with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The internship will be supervised by the Representative and will primarily be based in Conakry, with potential missions to other regions. UNICEF will cover mission expenses outside the intervention area (transport, per diem) according to procedures. The internship duration is 26 weeks, and it is a full-time position. A monthly stipend will be provided in accordance with UNICEF procedures. The intern must subscribe to health/accident insurance covering the internship period. The intern is allowed to take up to 2.5 days off per month for any reason, including medical reasons, with deductions for absences beyond this quota. The internship is not considered employment, and the intern must not have any immediate family members working at UNICEF. This internship is reserved for nationals.
