Job Overview:
The internship program at UNICEF Guinea aims to provide structured and professional opportunities for young national talents aged 18 to 25, with a focus on young women and individuals with disabilities. The intern will support the Child Survival and Development (CSD) section in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities, providing administrative, organizational, and technical support to the section chief and team. This role is designed to enhance the intern's technical, organizational, and professional skills in an international environment, contributing to their employability and exposure to UNICEF's professional standards and diverse work settings, including potential connections to the private sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the CSD section chief, the intern will be responsible for supporting the planning of section activities, including managing agendas, meetings, and deadlines. They will contribute to the preparation of reports, notes, and presentations, ensure the tracking of activities and update monitoring tools, assist in the logistical organization of meetings, workshops, and missions, manage documentation (filing, archiving, information sharing), support administrative and operational follow-up of files, participate in data collection and analysis related to section activities, facilitate internal communication within the section, and execute any other related tasks assigned by the hierarchy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 25 years, with a particular emphasis on young women and individuals with disabilities. The internship is inclusive, promoting gender equality and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a BTS, Bachelor's, or Master's program in administration, management, development, public health, or a related field (minimum Bac+2).

Experience:
No formal professional experience is required; however, prior experience through internships, volunteering, or associative engagement is considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, with a good level of English also required. Knowledge of one of the local languages of Guinea is an advantage.

Additional Notes:
The internship will be supervised by the Chief of the Child Survival and Development section. The intern will be primarily based in Conakry, with potential missions to other regions. UNICEF will cover mission expenses outside the intervention area (transport, per diem) according to procedures. The internship lasts for 13 weeks and is full-time. A monthly stipend will be provided in accordance with UNICEF procedures. The intern must have health/accident insurance covering the internship period. The intern can take up to 2.5 days off per month for any reason, including medical reasons, with stipends reduced for absences beyond this quota. The quota is cumulative over the internship duration, but there will be no compensation or carryover for unused leave days at the end of the internship. The intern is prohibited from communicating with the media or external sources about any information learned during the internship without written permission from UNICEF.
