Job Overview:
The Chauffeur position is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel and goods within the operational area. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the presence of valid equipment and documentation in the vehicle before movements.
  • Complete the logbook after each trip.
  • Conduct daily and weekly inspections of the vehicle and complete verification forms.
  • Ensure that technical checks and preventive maintenance (A, B, and C) are performed on time.
  • Report and document problems as soon as they are identified.
  • Adopt driving practices suitable for road conditions.
  • Obtain authorization before allowing non-NRC personnel to travel in the vehicle and ensure the necessary documentation is signed.
  • Know and apply the content of the driver's manual.
  • Stay informed with project teams about ongoing activities. 1

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a support service role within a humanitarian context.
  • Previous professional experience in complex and unstable environments.

  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
  • Proficiency in French and local languages is essential.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with relevant training in vehicle operation and maintenance. Additional certifications related to driving and safety may be beneficial.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least two years of professional driving experience, particularly in humanitarian or emergency response settings. Experience in managing vehicle maintenance and inspections is also crucial, as well as familiarity with operating in challenging environments.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and knowledge of local languages is highly desirable to facilitate communication with local communities and stakeholders.
