Job Overview:
As a member of the CRS project team, the WASH Project Team Member will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all WASH activities within the assigned intervention areas. This role supports the work of Catholic Relief Services in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, focusing on serving the poor and vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and continuously works to enhance the impact of its benefits on the communities served. The position requires a proactive approach to service delivery, ensuring that all activities align with CRS's quality standards, donor requirements, and good practices in the WASH sector. The role involves collaboration with local partners and community members to achieve project goals effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The WASH Project Team Member will support the coordination and implementation of all assigned WASH activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting any challenges or gaps identified to inform adjustments in the implementation plans and schedules for WASH interventions. The candidate will assist partners in reflecting on and learning from their WASH project experiences, ensuring accountability by coordinating project evaluation activities and helping partners collect and analyze project data using specified mechanisms and tools. Collaboration with local partners to prepare reports according to established timelines is essential. The role also involves gathering information on the capacity needs of staff and technical assistance requirements of partner organizations, monitoring capacity-building activities, and ensuring effective impact. The candidate will complete project documentation for WASH activities in assigned areas and assist in identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in project support. Recent graduates may be considered for this position. Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement is also required. The candidate should demonstrate personal accountability, integrity, and the ability to work effectively within diverse, intercultural teams. Strong relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate closely with local partners and community members are essential. Attention to detail, accuracy, and prompt execution of assigned responsibilities are critical attributes for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position. The educational background should align with the responsibilities of supporting WASH project activities and community engagement efforts. Candidates with degrees in public health, environmental science, or related disciplines will be particularly well-suited for this role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in project support, particularly in the WASH sector. Experience in project monitoring, data collection, and community engagement is preferred. Languages:
Proficiency in French is mandatory for this position, given the location and the communities served.
