Job Overview:
The logistics-officer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Officer Procurement supports the logistical aspects of the organization by ensuring the processing of purchase requests, procurement processes, storage, and payments to suppliers in collaboration with program and support teams, while adhering to internal procedures. The officer is responsible for the effective execution of daily logistical operations and contributes to the transparency and reliability of logistical data. This role requires compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines, and involves drafting reports on the progress of logistical activities as requested by the supervisor. The officer is also expected to encourage and propose improvements to the logistics function and implement approved logistical strategies at the country level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer Procurement will assist in managing the supply chain according to established rules and procedures. Responsibilities include drafting reports on procurement activities following approved purchasing plans, updating price lists, maintaining supplier registers, tracking contracts, recording minutes of bid openings, monitoring fleet and internet expenses, and overseeing distribution plans for kits in the North Kivu region. The officer is responsible for the physical and electronic archiving of logistics documents in compliance with NRC's filing standards. Additionally, the officer will support the Logistics Team Leader in market analysis at the regional level, identify, anticipate, and manage supplier risks, participate in supplier evaluations, and update the supplier database. The officer will also contribute to monitoring framework agreements available in North Kivu and perform any other relevant tasks related to their function.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an Officer in a support function, preferably in supply chain management within a humanitarian context. Strong procurement skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential. Proven results in fulfilling job responsibilities are required. Proficiency in French, both written and spoken, is mandatory, while knowledge of English is an asset. Familiarity with local languages is also advantageous, as is knowledge of the local environment in North Kivu, particularly in the Beni and Lubero territories.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess a degree or equivalent qualification that supports their ability to perform the duties of the Logistics Officer Procurement effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a logistics or supply chain role, particularly within humanitarian settings. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of procurement processes and logistics management, as well as experience in working with diverse teams in challenging environments.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, and knowledge of local languages is advantageous for effective communication within the community and with local suppliers.
