Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at supporting the recruitment process within OHCHR. Key duties include:
Supporting talent sourcing and outreach activities across various platforms and databases to identify potential candidates.
Assisting in attracting diverse candidate pools through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives.
Maintaining candidate pipelines or rosters to ensure a steady flow of qualified applicants for various positions.
Contributing to employer branding efforts by helping to develop and implement strategies that enhance the organization's visibility as an employer of choice.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements to be considered for the internship: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). While professional work experience is not required for applicants to the UN Internship Programme, a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate a good understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as a commitment to the values and mission of the United Nations.
Educational Background: Candidates must be students in the final year of their first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), or enrolled in or have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. Programme. The educational background should ideally be in human resources, social sciences, international relations, or a related field that aligns with the responsibilities of the internship. Proof of enrollment or completion of the relevant academic program must be provided with the application.
Experience: While no professional work experience is required, candidates should have relevant academic experience or internships that demonstrate their interest in human resources and recruitment.
