Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of the Evaluation Team by leveraging AI-driven development methods. This position involves designing and delivering improved Power Apps solutions and user interfaces that are user-friendly and scalable. The consultant will utilize AI to streamline tasks such as generating interface components, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for preparing documentation, conducting training sessions, and providing recommendations for the long-term sustainability of the tools and design standards implemented. The ultimate goal is to create applications that are built more efficiently through the strategic use of AI-assisted development tools, thereby enhancing the overall productivity and effectiveness of the Evaluation Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for providing expert guidance to the Evaluation Team in the application of AI-driven development methods. Key duties include:

• Designing and delivering enhanced Power Apps solutions tailored to the needs of the Evaluation Team.
• Utilizing AI to generate interface components and optimize workflows for improved efficiency.
• Ensuring that all applications meet accessibility compliance standards.
• Documenting features and functionalities of the developed applications.
• Conducting training sessions for team members on the use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Providing recommendations for the long-term sustainability of the tools and design standards.
• Collaborating closely with the Chief of the Evaluation Team to align development efforts with organizational goals.
• Preparing comprehensive documentation to support the development process and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in fields such as artificial intelligence, computer science, software development, UI/UX design, or a related area. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a minimum of five years of established expertise in software/application development, computer science, data analysis, or digital innovation. A minimum of two years of experience in programming or software development utilizing AI is also required. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as Copilot and generative AI for code, is essential. Experience with Microsoft Power Apps is strongly desirable, along with knowledge of Power Automate and Power BI.

Educational Background:
The position requires an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in relevant fields such as artificial intelligence, computer science, software development, or UI/UX design. A first-level university degree may be accepted if accompanied by two additional years of qualifying experience, indicating a flexible approach to educational qualifications based on practical experience.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in software/application development, computer science, data analysis, or digital innovation. Additionally, at least two years of experience specifically in programming or software development using AI technologies is required. Experience with AI-assisted development tools and familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI will be considered advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Proficiency in French is also beneficial, as it is another working language of the organization.
