Job Overview:
The ICT Associate position at UN Women involves executing IT services within the Country Office, implementing IT management systems and strategies, and providing daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure. The incumbent will work under the guidance of the Chief of ICT and in collaboration with the Regional Office ICT team and the Operations Manager. The role requires the promotion of a client-oriented approach, ensuring that the Country Office's hardware and software function effectively, and that new technologies are utilized to enhance productivity. The ICT Associate will also be responsible for maintaining the office's network, providing web management services, and offering administrative support regarding ICT issues. This position is crucial for ensuring that the Country Office operates efficiently and effectively in its mission to promote gender equality and women's empowerment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the ICT Associate include implementing ICT strategies and new technologies in line with corporate standards, providing IT support for improved business results, ensuring the effective functioning of hardware and software, and maintaining communication systems. The incumbent will monitor network connections, troubleshoot network problems, and liaise with UNDP for network issues. Additionally, the ICT Associate will manage the Country Office website, provide technical support for procurement of ICT equipment, maintain inventory, and support key events. The role also involves diagnosing and prioritizing requests for assistance from staff, facilitating knowledge sharing, and contributing to training for staff on ICT issues. The incumbent may perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires completion of secondary education as a minimum, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science considered an asset. Candidates must possess certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). If these certifications are not available at the time of recruitment, they must be obtained within six months of hiring. The role demands a strong understanding of PC/LAN operating systems, corporate ICT security, and virus protection systems, as well as good troubleshooting skills for PC hardware and knowledge of video conferencing and telecommunication systems.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science being advantageous. Relevant certifications in network engineering and systems management are also required, highlighting the importance of formal education and professional training in the field of information technology.

Experience:
The ICT Associate position requires at least six years of working experience in network administration and the use of hardware and software, as well as telecommunications facilities. This level of experience is essential to ensure that the incumbent can effectively manage the technical demands of the role and provide the necessary support to the Country Office staff.

Languages:
