Job Overview:
The IT Officer will be an integral part of the Digital Transformation Technology (DTT) department, tasked with providing comprehensive support to end-users, internal users, and partners. This role serves as the first line of support for issues related to desktop computers, laptops, printers, servers, network connectivity, and remote access. The IT Officer will simulate or recreate processes to resolve operating difficulties and may collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams to restore services or identify and correct core problems. The position requires coordination with the Asia Pacific DTT Operations team to ensure effective support, project delivery, upgrades, and routine tasks. The IT Officer will also be responsible for maintaining the office IT system and ensuring optimal operation of all office devices and end-user computing environments, which directly support the organization's operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: providing support for computer hardware, software, printers, applications, operating systems, servers, and network devices; ensuring weekly updates of Endpoint Management for servers and clients; performing regular backups of servers, user files, and network shared files; installing software on company computers and configuring applications as specified; maintaining and upgrading office IT systems as required; managing and collaborating with third-party suppliers/vendors; ensuring optimal operation of all office devices; tracking the progress of all incidents to conclusion; identifying and promoting technical and operational best practices; training staff on newly deployed technologies; advising management on IT-related matters; and conducting periodic visits to field offices to provide technical support and strengthen the capacity of FHI 360 staff and partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a moderate understanding of Information Technology industry practices, solid knowledge and experience with incident management and operations services tools and systems (ITSM), and proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, Exchange Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud Technologies, and Microsoft 36
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routers/Switches, Meraki’s and other network devices is essential. Candidates should also have strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to multitask and self-motivate, and a willingness to increase knowledge and update skills as required.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma/GED with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT support or a related field, with a strong background in managing IT systems and providing technical support. Experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) setting is highly desirable, as it provides insight into the unique challenges and requirements of such environments.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in the local language is also required. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The expected hiring salary range for this role is PHP 750,000 to 900,000 annually for basic salary.
