Job Overview:
The position of Associate in Information Management and Reporting at WFP involves supporting the operational reporting processes and contributing to the establishment of a coherent operational picture of WFP's activities in Colombia. The role is crucial for ensuring that timely and accurate information is available for decision-making at all levels of the organization. The Associate will work under the supervision of the Information Management and Reporting Officer, collaborating with various units to align reporting with programmatic and corporate objectives. The Associate will also engage with key stakeholders and partners to facilitate effective communication and coordination regarding WFP's operations and impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate will be responsible for supporting the Information Management and Reporting processes within food assistance projects, early recovery initiatives, and capacity strengthening efforts. Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with other units to ensure alignment with programmatic and corporate objectives.
  • Coordinating the preparation of internal and external reports, including donor reports and operational summaries, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Drafting, editing, and finalizing reports based on solid data and information.
  • Supporting the preparation of donor reports in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Ensuring data quality and timely submission of documents.
  • Collaborating with various units to monitor key figures and accumulated assistance across different programs.
  • Aggregating and consolidating beneficiary information for humanitarian coordination platforms.
  • Maintaining records of assigned indicators and reporting them on internal and external platforms.
  • Establishing mechanisms for consistent information flow between country office units and field offices. 1
  • Participating in key partner meetings and workshops related to project approaches and information management. 1
  • Supporting the standardization of reporting processes and information collection procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include completion of secondary education, with a desirable professional degree in social sciences, public policy, international relations, administration, economics, nutrition, agriculture, or related fields. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in data management and reporting tools is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to WFP's values and principles, including integrity, collaboration, and inclusion.

Educational Background:
Candidates are required to have completed secondary education, with a preference for those holding a professional degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, public policy, international relations, administration, economics, nutrition, or agriculture. Experience:
A minimum of six years of experience in social and community work, particularly in humanitarian assistance and development contexts, is required. This includes at least two years of field experience in implementing and/or monitoring social projects involving vulnerable populations. Desirable experience includes data collection and analysis, database management, and familiarity with web-based information systems and real-time data collection applications. Candidates should also have experience in using monitoring and evaluation systems and standards relevant to WFP's operations.

Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written Spanish is mandatory, with advanced knowledge of English being desirable. Proficiency in these languages is crucial for effective communication and reporting within the diverse operational context of WFP.
