Job Overview:
The Senior Programme Assistant for PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of community awareness and prevention actions within the inter-agency PSEA service framework. This position is vital in ensuring that information regarding rights, codes of conduct, and reporting mechanisms is clear, accessible, culturally relevant, and understandable for prioritized communities. The role involves methodological adjustments to training processes, preparation and facilitation of training sessions for humanitarian actors and communities, and alignment with existing inter-agency standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring proper case referrals according to established pathways, contributing to the production of technical and operational inputs derived from training activities, and supporting the consolidation of information that strengthens prevention, accountability, and collective response to sexual exploitation and abuse.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Senior Programme Assistant include designing or adapting training modules, agendas, facilitation guides, educational materials, and evaluation tools for basic training in PSEA and Training of Trainers (ToT) processes. The Assistant will contextualize and support the design of the inter-agency PSEA communication package, ensuring that messages about rights, prohibited behaviors, and reporting mechanisms are culturally and linguistically appropriate. Responsibilities also include coordinating the production and technical review of printed and visual materials, planning logistics for the distribution of materials, organizing community awareness sessions focused on rights and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, and collaborating with community leaders and local actors for social and cultural validation of messages and methodologies. The Assistant will identify barriers to understanding and access related to language, disability, age, gender, ethnicity, and other conditions that may limit access to information. Additionally, the Assistant will consolidate reports on activities, coverage, findings, and recommendations to improve community awareness strategies, ensure safe reporting mechanisms, coordinate with the technical PSEA team for necessary adjustments, support the reception of reported cases, document cases and actions taken, monitor referred cases, and contribute to the preparation of technical and operational reports on implemented actions in prevention, awareness, and case management.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of secondary education completion, with a desirable professional degree in social sciences (such as social work, psychology, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, etc.) or related fields (such as business administration, public management, etc.). A specialization or master's degree in strategic planning, gender studies, monitoring and evaluation of policies, plans, programs, and projects in development and/or humanitarian action is preferred. The academic background should enable the individual to propose and apply methods, approaches, and methodologies for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of training programs, particularly in the field of humanitarian protection and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have completed secondary education, with a preference for those holding a professional degree in relevant fields such as social sciences or related areas. Advanced degrees in strategic planning, gender studies, or monitoring and evaluation are highly desirable, as they provide the necessary skills to effectively implement and evaluate training programs in humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in social, humanitarian, or development programs is required, with specific involvement in designing and implementing training processes. At least three years of direct experience in implementing prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse initiatives, including community training and capacity building for humanitarian actors, is essential. Proven experience in designing, adapting, and validating educational and methodological materials that are culturally and linguistically relevant is also required, along with experience in training trainers and providing technical support to partners.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication in the context of the role. Proficiency in English is highly desirable, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and enhance the effectiveness of the role in a global context.
