Job Overview: The Communications Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the 'Digital Transformation of Social Protection' Project and the 'Promoting Agricultural Development and Quality Employment for the Most Vulnerable' Project. This position involves close collaboration with project managers and the project team to design, plan, manage, monitor, and report on communication activities related to the projects. The analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies and visibility plans, ensuring effective dissemination of information about project activities, initiatives, and achievements. The role requires a strong focus on public awareness efforts and information campaigns across various thematic areas, including digital transformation, social protection, and agricultural development. The analyst will also engage with stakeholders, facilitate knowledge sharing, and ensure that communication materials align with the project's objectives and visibility requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Communications Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
Developing and leading the implementation of communication strategies and visibility plans for the projects.
Creating a matrix of key stakeholders and target audiences to effectively disseminate information.
Supporting national partners in designing and implementing civic education and information campaigns.
Drafting talking points, briefs, factsheets, and presentations that consider gender and human rights aspects.
Monitoring and analyzing the impact of communication activities and providing data-driven insights to refine strategies.
Advising on potential public communication crises and drafting press releases and crisis reports.
Drafting and publishing press releases, success stories, newsletters, and reports to highlight project activities and outcomes.
Developing engaging digital content, including infographics and social media posts, to enhance public understanding.
Coordinating media engagements and managing stakeholder communication channels. 1
Organizing training, workshops, and capacity-building activities to share knowledge and best practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, Sociology, International Relations, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the aforementioned areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered. Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in communication, mass media, public relations, or related fields. Desired skills include experience in developing media/communications strategies, implementing public outreach campaigns, and drafting communication materials.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, Sociology, or International Relations. Candidates with a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in these areas may also be considered if they have two additional years of relevant experience. Languages: Fluency in Romanian and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of one or more minority languages relevant to Moldova, such as Russian, Romani, Gagauzian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, or sign language, is considered an asset.
