Job Overview:
The Associate Project Officer – Software Architect will play a crucial role in the development and support of the MGIEP’s digital technology strategy. Reporting to the National IT Project Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for enhancing the FramerSpace ecosystem, which includes maintaining and optimizing server architecture, implementing AI-based features, and ensuring the overall performance of digital learning platforms. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking to fulfill the Institute’s objectives in advancing education through technology. The role involves continuous improvement of digital services, ensuring high availability and reliability, and contributing to the development of learning analytics and AI features that enhance the educational experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be tasked with various responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining and enhancing the FramerSpace ecosystem products, performing continuous DevOps activities, enhancing security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security measures, and optimizing serverless architecture. They will develop and implement learning analytics and AI features, optimize existing dashboards, and maintain data access pipelines. The role also involves providing technical guidance to developers, ensuring compatibility with third-party add-ons, and implementing performance improvements. Regular updates on progress and risks will be shared with supervisors and stakeholders, and the incumbent will be expected to produce clear technical documentation to support operational continuity.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (equivalent to a Master’s) in Information and Communication Technologies, Computer Science, or related fields. A minimum of 2 years of experience in web application development, cloud services, and NoSQL databases is required. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing high-traffic enterprise web applications, ensuring scalability and reliability, and should be skilled in programming languages such as R and Python. Proficiency in Node.js, MongoDB, and experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes is essential. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and the ability to work effectively in team settings are also critical.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master’s level) in Information and Communication Technologies, Computer Science, or related fields is mandatory. A PhD in a relevant field is desirable and would enhance the candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in web application development and cloud services. Candidates with at least 10 years of experience in these areas, particularly in managing high-traffic enterprise applications, will be given preference. Experience with big data ETL services and generative AI integration is also highly valued, with a focus on practical application in educational contexts.

Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. A working knowledge of Hindi is also required. Knowledge of another UNESCO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) or regional Indian languages is considered desirable and would be an asset in this role.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. This position is open only to Indian Nationals. The starting annual salary for this position is INR 3,286,361, and it is taxable. Benefits may include 30 days of annual leave, medical insurance reimbursement, and a pension plan.
