Job Overview:
The position of Coordinateur Abri is crucial for providing technical support related to the development of shelter programs and ensuring quality control of shelter projects and activities. The coordinator will also be responsible for daily monitoring of project progress and proposing technical improvements, while ensuring community participation in decision-making processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinateur Abri include assisting the Project Manager (PM) and the Project Development Manager (PDM) in developing training modules and providing technical training to staff, focusing on shelter and cross-cutting issues related to NRC's actions. The coordinator will organize regular field visits to supervise activity implementation, formulate observations, and make recommendations. They will support the core competency specialist in project proposal writing and participate in cluster meetings to promote information sharing and collaboration. Coordination with field staff for data collection tool revisions, Bill of Quantities (BoQs), and design of facilities and infrastructure is essential. The coordinator will assist in developing standardized procedures for program implementation and ensure planning and management of project activities with the support of NRC staff. Daily management of shelter personnel and regular updates to the specialist and Assistant Project Manager (APM) regarding administrative decisions are also part of the role. The coordinator will develop proposals and strategies in response to contextual changes and collaborate with the Monitoring & Evaluation team for baseline studies and accountability mechanisms in villages.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Coordinateur Abri position should possess a Bac+5 degree in architecture or civil engineering, with at least three years of experience in humanitarian settings, particularly in construction and shelter with international NGOs. A minimum of two years of team management experience is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent software is essential, along with fluency in French and Swahili; knowledge of local languages is an asset. Candidates should have a good understanding of the local context, strong planning, supervision, coordination, and reporting skills, and a valid motorcycle license is required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a Bac+5 degree in architecture or civil engineering, which provides the necessary technical foundation for the role. This educational background is critical for understanding the complexities of shelter design and construction in humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
