Job Posting Organization:
PROCOSI is a national network of civil society organizations in Bolivia that focuses on comprehensive health, mental health, gender, community development, and other social determinants of health. The organization aims to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in Bolivia by implementing programs that address these issues. PROCOSI's mission is to create a healthier environment for the Bolivian population living in areas of coverage, ensuring that they have access to fair and inclusive policies. The organization also plays a crucial role in strengthening institutional capacities by sharing information about calls for proposals, funding opportunities, scholarships, awards, and other relevant opportunities for social organizations. As part of its strategy, PROCOSI is looking to transform its current newsletter into a monthly digital magazine that will include relevant calls, trend analyses in funding, and resources for strengthening organizations. The support of online volunteers will be instrumental in expanding the identification of opportunities and enhancing access to international funding for network organizations.

Job Overview:
The online volunteers will support PROCOSI in researching and systematizing relevant funding opportunities for civil society organizations. This position is crucial for enhancing the capacity of these organizations to access necessary resources for their operations. Volunteers will be expected to identify open calls for international cooperation, foundations, multilateral organizations, and international funds. They will also be responsible for systematizing information about these calls, including details such as the funder, amount, eligibility, dates, and links. Additionally, volunteers will prepare summary sheets of funding opportunities and assist in creating content for a monthly bulletin aimed at PROCOSI network organizations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying useful resources for institutional strengthening, such as guides, courses, and project formulation tools. The work will be conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility and collaboration with the PROCOSI team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify open calls for international cooperation, foundations, multilateral organizations, and international funds.
  • Systematize information about funding calls, including details such as funder, amount, eligibility, dates, and links.
  • Prepare summary sheets of funding opportunities for easy reference.
  • Assist in the preparation of content for a monthly bulletin of opportunities directed at PROCOSI network organizations.
  • Identify useful resources for institutional strengthening, including guides, courses, and project formulation tools.
  • Collaborate in organizing a database of calls and donors to streamline access to funding opportunities.
  • Work remotely in coordination with the PROCOSI team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong research skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information effectively. Familiarity with funding opportunities and the civil society landscape in Bolivia is highly desirable. Volunteers should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently while also being able to collaborate with a team. Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for communication and data management is essential. A commitment to the mission and values of PROCOSI and a passion for supporting vulnerable populations in Bolivia are also important.

Educational Background:
A background in social sciences, public health, international development, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the issues facing civil society organizations in Bolivia and the broader context of international funding.

Experience:
While prior experience in research or funding analysis is beneficial, it is not strictly required. However, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the role. Experience working with civil society organizations or in a volunteer capacity is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as all communications and documentation will be in Spanish. Proficiency in English is a plus, as it may be necessary for accessing certain international funding opportunities and resources.
