Job Overview: The Data & Systems Coordinator position at Save the Children Australia is a full-time, permanent role that plays a crucial part in the International Programs-Global team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about using data and systems to drive impactful change for children globally. The coordinator will be responsible for transforming complex portfolio data into actionable insights through dashboards and performance metrics, which will help identify risks and improve program delivery. The position also involves managing audit-ready evidence and ensuring that systems are compliant and support high-quality program execution. The coordinator will work closely with program teams and Country Offices to strengthen data governance and enhance the use of evidence in decision-making processes. This role offers flexibility, allowing the successful candidate to work from home or from one of the state offices in any capital city of Australia, fostering a work-life balance while contributing to meaningful work.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Data & Systems Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Strengthening data governance and ensuring effective systems use across program teams and Country Offices.
Delivering insightful portfolio analysis through the creation of dashboards, KPIs, and other analytical tools to surface risks and minimize rework.
Supporting donor compliance and maintaining audit readiness through disciplined management of systems and evidence.
Maintaining a single source of truth for portfolio evidence and documentation, ensuring it is audit-ready at all times.
Assisting program teams and partners in building their capabilities in data discipline, systems use, and evidence management.
Ensuring that award data is accurate, complete, and timely in the Award Management System (AMS).
Collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the overall effectiveness of program delivery through data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Data & Systems Coordinator role must possess a range of qualifications, including:
Demonstrated experience in award, grant, or project management within a social impact or similar environment.
Strong data analysis skills, with a proven track record of utilizing dashboards, data visualization tools, and performance reporting to drive insights.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is essential.
Proficiency in AI applications, including prompting, workflow automation, data protection, and maintaining audit trails.
A proven ability to identify and manage operational and compliance risks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate for the Data & Systems Coordinator position should have a relevant educational background, typically including a degree in fields such as data science, information technology, social sciences, or a related discipline.
