Job Overview:
The internship program at the IAEA is designed to provide students and recent graduates with practical work experience that aligns with their academic studies or interests. Interns will have the opportunity to engage with the IAEA's work and gain insights into the operations of the United Nations. The primary focus of this internship is to support the Division of Information Technology, specifically in the area of information security. Interns will work under the supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborate with various teams to enhance information security awareness within the organization. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in information security education and awareness, as well as gain experience in a multinational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for assisting in the creation of educational content and curriculum related to information security. They will help design and develop content for the internal website dedicated to Information Security Awareness. Additionally, interns will assist in preparing and potentially delivering training courses and supporting materials in various formats, including online and in-person sessions. They will also engage in basic data analysis related to security awareness campaigns, such as tracking attendance and evaluating phishing testing results. Other tasks may be assigned as needed, providing a comprehensive experience in the field of information security.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in education, communication, international relations, information technology, information security, or a related field. An advanced university degree may be considered an advantage. A basic understanding of security awareness curriculum and educational materials development is required, along with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and other creative applications. Good business acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams are essential. Interns should be capable of establishing productive working relationships with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Educational Background:
To be eligible for the internship, candidates must be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time university studies towards their first degree. Candidates may apply within one year of completing their bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important to note that candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship program.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a basic understanding of information security principles and educational material development. The internship is designed for individuals who are in the process of completing their education or have recently graduated, thus providing an entry-level opportunity to gain relevant experience in the field.

Languages:
