Job Overview: The Grants and Partnerships Officer position is a critical role within the Danish Refugee Council, aimed at enhancing the organization's mission and program impact through effective partnership development and grant management. Duties and Responsibilities: The Grants and Partnerships Officer will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Grant Management and Reporting: - Coordinate and compile donor, partner, and government reporting processes to ensure timely submission of high-quality narrative reports. - Develop key sector success stories and communication products to showcase program impact. - Facilitate grant opening, review, and closing meetings, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions. - Assist in responding to information requests from stakeholders. - Provide compliance information to the Monitoring & Evaluation team for effective program monitoring.
Partnership Development and Coordination: - Cultivate and manage relationships with strategic partners, including NGOs, INGOs, government entities, and private sector actors. - Represent DRC in coordination meetings and networking forums. - Identify potential partners that align with DRC’s mission. - Prepare concept notes, proposals, and partnership frameworks for collaborations. - Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring proper documentation. - Maintain an up-to-date partnership database.
Partner Due Diligence and Capacity Assessment: - Coordinate partner capacity assessments and evaluate organizational capacity in governance, finance, and program delivery. - Identify partnership risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Compliance, Learning, and Capacity Building: - Monitor partnership performance and contribute to regular reporting and learning. - Ensure compliance with partnership terms and donor regulations. - Provide guidance on donor requirements and proposal development. - Support the development of fundraising tools and standard operating procedures.
