As part of the International Volunteer Year 2026 initiative, UNV ESARO is launching the 'Journeys of Inspiration' campaign, which features a flagship photobook and digital storytelling project. Specific responsibilities include:
Following UNV ESARO's social media pages on platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Re-sharing a minimum of 10 campaign posts per week on personal or institutional social media accounts during the campaign period, ensuring to tag relevant organizations.
Engaging with the content by adding brief captions or reflections to enhance its relevance to the audience.
Reporting weekly engagement metrics, which include the number of posts shared, estimated reach (views/impressions), and audience feedback or comments.
Participating in virtual orientation sessions and providing feedback during campaign review sessions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess a strong interest in volunteerism, digital advocacy, and social media engagement. They should be comfortable using various social media platforms and have the ability to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. Familiarity with storytelling techniques and an understanding of the impact of volunteerism on sustainable development are also beneficial. Additionally, volunteers should be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Educational Background: While there are no specific educational requirements listed for the Online Volunteer position, candidates are encouraged to have a background in communications, social sciences, international relations, or a related field. This educational background will help volunteers understand the context of the campaign and the significance of volunteerism in achieving sustainable development goals.
Experience: The position does not require prior professional experience, making it suitable for individuals who are new to the field of volunteerism or digital advocacy. However, any previous experience in social media management, content creation, or community engagement will be considered an asset. Volunteers should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges throughout the campaign.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as all communications and campaign materials will be in English.
