Job Overview:
The MS D365 Functional Specialist will play a crucial role in designing functional system processes and solutions to support operations through the organization’s ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics D36
  • This position requires a deep understanding of operational processes and the ability to implement automated application controls and access rights to ensure compliance and efficiency. The specialist will be responsible for coordinating new projects, conducting application fit-gap analyses, and ensuring that the ERP system meets the needs of business users. This role also involves developing management reporting tools, facilitating communication between business and IT teams, and leading training initiatives for end-users. The specialist will act as a bridge between various departments, ensuring that their needs are harmonized and represented in the ERP system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the MS D365 Functional Specialist include: designing functional system processes, ensuring full integration and impact analysis across operations chapters, establishing management reporting tools, coordinating new projects, conducting fit-gap analyses, leading training and testing for end-users, assisting with project communications, supporting business correspondence, preparing training materials, managing change requests, facilitating workshops and meetings, evaluating business processes for improvements, developing user manuals, coordinating user acceptance testing, maintaining relations with stakeholders, and contributing to reports design and production. The specialist will also assist in ERP migrations, provide guidance on service requests, and contribute to the design of institutional reporting platforms.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations module expert certification, a Master’s degree in Information Systems with Accounting/Finance qualifications, and advanced knowledge of administrative and operating protocols. Specialized expertise in administrative and finance processes, particularly in the non-profit sector, is essential. Candidates should have excellent knowledge of D365 Finance and Operations processes, strong institutional reporting knowledge, expert-level experience in ERP functional design, and the ability to apply ITIL/ISO20000 frameworks.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in Information Systems, complemented by qualifications in Accounting or Finance. This combination of education ensures that the candidate has both the technical and financial knowledge necessary to effectively manage and implement ERP solutions.

Experience:
Candidates should have significant experience in ERP functional design, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics 36
  • Experience in handling change requests, conducting scenario analyses in Finance & Operations, and working within the non-profit sector is highly desirable. The role requires a proven track record of successfully managing projects and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve operational goals.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, as CIMMYT operates in a multicultural environment and collaborates with international partners.
