Job Overview:
The Shelter Project Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Shelter strategy in alignment with NRC's regional and global priorities. This role involves ensuring compliance with NRC policies and guidelines, managing funding proposals, project budgets, and donor reports, and providing technical direction and support for project implementation. The Shelter Project Manager will also be tasked with training and capacity building for technical staff, ensuring that lessons learned from project implementation are integrated into future processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Shelter Project Manager will coordinate and manage active Shelter and Settlements (S&S) project grants, ensuring alignment with donor requirements. Responsibilities include developing technical processes and tools for project implementation, integrating quality implementation processes in line with NRC global policies, and managing project budgets according to NRC’s Financial Handbook. The manager will monitor the technical quality of Shelter projects, document achievements, communicate progress transparently, and troubleshoot issues. Additionally, the role involves exploring new S&S activities, maintaining and growing technical and operational capacity through recruitment and staff development, and representing NRC in the WASH sector and relevant humanitarian coordination meetings.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level project implementation role within a humanitarian or recovery context. Experience in providing emergency and protracted-crisis Shelter assistance in both rural and urban settings is essential. Applicants should have a proven track record of managing projects through cash and vouchers, documented results related to the position’s responsibilities, and knowledge of their own leadership skills. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory.
