The organization operates in more than 20 countries, employing a diverse team of expatriates, national employees, and volunteers who work with professionalism and commitment while respecting local cultures. SI has been active in South Sudan since 2006, responding to emergencies and post-emergency situations, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, including refugee and internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.
