Job Overview:
The Associate Transaction Support Officer position is situated within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) at ADB, specifically in the Transaction Support Division (PSTS). The role is crucial for providing specialized analytical support for PSOD's Integrity Due Diligence (IDD) activities, which are essential for the department's pipeline, portfolio, and programs. The officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ADB's IDD Guidelines and Tax Transparency Guidelines for Nonsovereign Operations. This position requires a proactive approach to conducting integrity due diligence, anti-money laundering (AML), and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) activities, ensuring that all processes are executed accurately, comprehensively, and in a timely manner. The officer will also engage in primary research, review checklists, identify potential risks, and coordinate with the Office of Anticorruption and Integrity (OAI) on integrity-related matters, making this role pivotal in maintaining ADB's commitment to integrity and transparency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Transaction Support Officer include conducting integrity due diligence (IDD) and anti-money laundering (AML) activities in support of PSOD deal teams, ensuring adherence to ADB's IDD Guidelines for Nonsovereign Investments. The officer will review IDD checklists for accuracy and completeness, conduct primary research using various databases, and analyze research collected by others. Identifying red flags and proposing mitigation strategies is essential, as is ensuring timely submission of signed checklists to OAI. The officer will also review OAI assessments, conduct Annual Integrity Reviews, set up Google alerts for critical clients, and ensure proper filing of integrity-related information. Additional duties may be assigned as reflected in the work plan, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in this role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Associate Transaction Support Officer position must possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, or related fields, with a preference for those with advanced training. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in law, banking, or business management is required, with at least 4 years of applied experience in areas related to money laundering, terrorist financing, tax avoidance, or fraud. A thorough understanding of integrity due diligence processes and familiarity with the Financial Action Task Force and Global Forum on Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, experience in international contexts, and the ability to maintain high ethical standards. Professional qualifications such as certification in fraud or anti-money laundering, or membership in professional organizations, are advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced training or qualifications in relevant areas will be considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's suitability for the role.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of work experience in relevant fields such as law, banking, or business management.
