Job Overview:
The position of Asistencia Técnica Modelo Proceso Téc. Archivístico involves providing technical assistance for the creation, management, and implementation of an archival technical process model. This role is part of the UNDP project aimed at transformative reparations for peace consolidation. The consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality consultancy services as outlined in the Terms of Reference (TdR). The consultant will work closely with UNDP staff and stakeholders to ensure that the archival processes are effectively designed and implemented, contributing to the overall goals of the project. The position requires a deep understanding of archival practices and the ability to adapt them to the specific context of the project. The consultant will also be expected to engage with various stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the archival model meets the needs of the organization and its beneficiaries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current archival processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a detailed technical model for the archival process that aligns with best practices and the specific needs of the UNDP project.
  • Collaborate with UNDP staff to implement the archival model, providing training and support as necessary.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to the archival process is properly managed and accessible.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented archival model and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
  • Engage with external partners and experts to gather insights and feedback on the archival model.
  • Ensure compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the consultancy.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
  • Proven experience in archival management and technical processes.
  • Strong understanding of international archival standards and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to effectively convey complex information.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with the UNDP's mission and operations is an advantage.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in archival science, information management, library science, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset. Additional certifications in archival management or related areas will be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in archival management or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully implementing archival processes and models is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position requires communication with local stakeholders and documentation in Spanish. Proficiency in English is also required to engage with international teams and access global resources. Knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a consultancy contract, and the duration of the contract will be determined based on the project needs. The consultant is expected to work full-time during the contract period. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
