Job Overview: The Senior Strategy Officer plays a crucial role within the Foundation Strategy Office, which is responsible for developing and evolving program-level strategies and exploring innovative paths to enhance the Foundation's impact. This position involves supporting high-level executives, including the CEO, CFO, and Chief Strategy Officer, in various strategic initiatives such as strategy development, performance measurement, and portfolio management. The officer will also work closely with the AI Steering Committee, which serves as the strategic backbone for AI-related initiatives within the organization. This role requires translating the rapidly changing AI landscape into actionable strategies and frameworks that align with the Foundation's mission, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of AI integration in its programs.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Strategy Officer will be responsible for several key functions, including:
AI Strategy Development & Analysis: Tracking the evolution of AI within programmatic strategies and providing analytical support to the AI Steering Committee (AI SC) Chair and members for effective engagement on AI topics. Leading cross-foundational AI strategy projects as they arise from AI SC priorities and collaborating with internal clients to co-develop and test strategy concepts.
Stakeholder Engagement & Senior Leadership Support: Preparing strategic materials and briefings for senior leadership on AI topics, supporting the AI SC's material preparation and progress, and translating committee decisions into actionable work plans. Serving as a thought partner to program strategy teams on AI-related questions and connecting programmatic needs with the broader AI strategy.
Cross-Foundation AI Best Practices Identification: Supporting the design and implementation of principles for cross-foundation AI initiatives, developing internal resources that support AI engagement, and evaluating potential AI concepts for external partnerships.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in business, economics, or science. Significant experience in leading projects at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, corporate strategy, or product management is essential. Applicants should demonstrate structured problem-solving skills and strategic business planning capabilities, including the ability to communicate frameworks and analyze core issues.
