Job Overview: The Treasury Manager-LTE position is an individual contributor role that plays a crucial part in executing and enhancing core treasury operations. This includes managing cash liquidity, custody operations, donation intake, and ensuring robust internal controls. The role requires a balance between daily operational tasks and strategic risk management, governance, and project delivery within the treasury function. The Treasury Manager-LTE will work closely with the Treasury Manager and Senior Manager of Treasury to support global operations, improve banking and custody frameworks, and ensure consistency across treasury activities, including those involving regional offices and subsidiary partners. This position is based at the Foundation's headquarters in Seattle, Washington, and is integral to the Finance organization, which employs around 200 full-time staff members, with the Global Financial & Accounting Services (GFAS) team comprising over 45 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Treasury Manager-LTE will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Global Liquidity & Cash Operations: Managing global cash positioning and supporting short-term cash forecasting across multiple entities and currencies. Providing backup support for forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations.
Global Banking & Account Administration: Overseeing global bank account administration, including the opening and closing of accounts, managing signatories, and ensuring proper documentation. Maintaining relationships with banks and ensuring compliance with organizational and regional requirements.
Custody & Investment Operations: Handling custody operations, including trade settlements, safekeeping, and transaction execution. Coordinating securities transfers and stock dispositions.
Global Operations & Donation Flows: Supporting global treasury operations, including managing cross-border payments and funding activities, as well as processing cash and securities donations in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Governance, Risk & Controls: Maintaining strong banking governance, ensuring user access, entitlements, and segregation of duties. Supporting SOX compliance and audit readiness.
Projects & Continuous Improvement: Leading or supporting treasury initiatives, collaborating on cross-functional projects, and driving process improvements through the use of AI and automation tools.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of proven experience in cash forecasting, bank relationship management, and regulatory compliance within a treasury or finance-related role. Technical expertise in treasury management systems, such as Kyriba or similar platforms, is essential, along with knowledge of banking processes, investment-related activities, and compliance requirements. Candidates should also demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is highly preferred, indicating a higher level of expertise and commitment to the treasury profession.
