Job Overview:
The Casework Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing staff who provide direct client services across various resettlement and integration case management programs. This position is responsible for planning programming, coordinating service delivery, supervising a team, and ensuring that program goals are met while adhering to budgetary, compliance, and reporting responsibilities. The Casework Supervisor will work closely with caseworkers to ensure that clients receive timely and effective services, including housing navigation, health assessments, and connections to community resources. The role also involves building partnerships with local organizations and government entities to enhance service delivery and support for clients. The Casework Supervisor will be expected to lead workshops and trainings for clients, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for successful integration into their new communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Casework Supervisor's duties include guiding program implementation to ensure timely completion of services for new arrivals, managing case assignments, and overseeing the provision of essential services such as airport pickups, housing navigation, and school enrollment. The supervisor will ensure that each client receives meaningful interactions every 30 days and that case closure procedures are followed once program goals are achieved. Additionally, the supervisor will manage relationships with property owners to expand affordable housing access, collaborate with colleagues for timely referrals, and maintain documentation in compliance with contract requirements. The role also involves tracking financial assistance disbursements, preparing for monitoring visits, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The Casework Supervisor will recruit, train, and manage a team of caseworkers, fostering a supportive environment and addressing challenging cases as needed. Other responsibilities may include representing the IRC at public and professional events and performing additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Casework Supervisor position should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social work or a related field. A minimum of two to three years of experience in implementing domestic refugee resettlement or similar case management programs is required. Experience in supervising and training staff is strongly preferred, along with a background in program management and client direct assistance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting database applications is essential, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a multicultural environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory, and proficiency in a language spoken by client populations is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle with current insurance are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for candidates who have studied social work or a related field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of case management and the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two to three years of relevant experience in domestic refugee resettlement or similar case management programs. Experience in supervising, supporting, and training staff is strongly preferred, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage programs and provide direct assistance to clients. This level of experience is crucial for effectively leading a team and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and stakeholders. Additionally, having proficiency in a language spoken by the client populations served is considered a valuable asset, as it can enhance communication and understanding between the caseworkers and clients.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Denver, Colorado, and requires a combination of standard office work and field time in the service delivery area. The role may involve occasional weekend and/or evening work to meet the needs of clients. The compensation for this position ranges from $63,500 to $65,000, with the exact offer depending on various factors such as the labor market, job type, and individual candidate experience.
