Job Overview:
The Direct Response TV & Lead Conversion Specialist will play a crucial role in the Mass Marketing team at Save the Children, reporting directly to the Donor Acquisition Manager. This position is primarily focused on creating, planning, and managing Direct Response Television (DRTV) and Lead Conversion campaigns aimed at recruiting new donors. The specialist will be responsible for developing and testing innovative creative concepts while managing external vendors to meet donor acquisition and income targets. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Digital Fundraising Manager and other Save the Children members, to optimize the donor experience and ensure effective campaign execution. The specialist will also be tasked with monitoring campaign performance, analyzing results, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance donor acquisition strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Direct Response TV & Lead Conversion Specialist include but are not limited to: planning the annual budget and acquisition strategy for DRTV and Lead Conversion campaigns; managing vendors involved in creative development, media buying, and call center operations; leading weekly progress meetings and monthly reviews with vendors; creating and adapting materials for television and conversion campaigns; engaging with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices; collaborating with colleagues to maximize donor retention; training and supervising call center staff; conducting call quality assessments; negotiating contracts with service providers; briefing stakeholders on campaign activities; monitoring and analyzing campaign performance; and identifying new service providers for donor acquisition tests.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing DRTV, Telemarketing, and/or Lead Conversion fundraising campaigns with a focus on income generation is required. Proven experience in managing external vendors and developing, implementing, and measuring donor acquisition campaigns is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to use data and evidence for decision-making, possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience in the International Development or NGO sectors. Project management experience and proficiency with MS Office tools are also necessary, along with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience in a similar role may also be considered acceptable. Candidates should have a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, particularly in the context of DRTV and lead conversion campaigns.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in managing fundraising campaigns, specifically in DRTV and telemarketing. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully executing donor acquisition strategies and managing vendor relationships to achieve fundraising goals. Experience in the non-profit sector, particularly within international development or NGOs, is preferred, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities in this field.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they enhance communication with diverse donor populations or stakeholders in different regions.

Additional Notes:
This position is covered under the CUPE Bargaining Unit and offers a salary range of $63,323.32 - $80,295.12 CAD, depending on skills and experience.
