Job Overview: The position involves providing territorial consultancy aimed at strengthening the CAMAD strategy for comprehensive care of individuals in street situations in Dosquebradas, Colombia. The consultant will be expected to engage with local communities, governmental entities, and social organizations to develop and implement effective social programs. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the strategies are effectively tailored to meet the needs of the target population, thereby enhancing the overall impact of the CAMAD strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
Collaborate with local authorities and community organizations to assess the needs of individuals in street situations.
Design and implement strategies that promote social inclusion and support for vulnerable populations.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions for community members and stakeholders to enhance their capacity to address social issues.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and programs, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to be shared with UNDP and other stakeholders.
Engage in outreach activities to raise awareness about the issues faced by individuals in street situations and promote community involvement in solutions.
Ensure compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the consultancy period.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
For technicians or technologists: A minimum of 24 months (2 years) of experience in social, community, health, or social protection programs.
For professionals: A minimum of 12 months (1 year) of experience in similar fields.
Proven experience in working with local entities, social organizations, or community actors.
Demonstrated ability to work directly or indirectly with vulnerable populations or those at risk of social exclusion.
Strong skills in planning and participating in community outreach initiatives and social support actions.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a technical or technological degree or a professional degree in any relevant field. Candidates should have a solid understanding of social work, community development, or related disciplines that equip them to effectively engage with vulnerable populations.
Experience: The level of experience required for this position varies based on the educational background. Technicians or technologists must have at least 2 years of relevant experience, while professionals are required to have a minimum of 1 year of experience in social programs, community engagement, or related fields. Experience in direct work with vulnerable populations is highly valued.
Languages: The mandatory language for this position is Spanish, as all communications and documentation will be conducted in this language. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is expected to last for a period of 3 months. The position is classified as an individual contractor role, and candidates are encouraged to submit their proposals through the UNDP Quantum portal before the deadline.
