Job Overview:
The position of Specialized Activities and Processes Officer involves executing specialized and standardized activities and processes that align with WFP's policies and programs. The role requires a certain level of interpretation of guidelines and practices, allowing the officer to recommend actions to various officials and assign tasks to support staff. The officer will work with minimal supervision, conducting basic analyses and compiling reports to ensure consistency of information and smooth execution of programs and projects. Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Specialized Activities and Processes Officer include: conducting specialized and standardized activities within the technical area of focus, ensuring alignment with broader program policies and guidelines; providing project management support and general office assistance while adhering to established goals and WFP policies; collecting data and supporting analysis and reporting on food assistance needs, resource utilization, program progress, and achievements to inform operational decision-making; maintaining accurate and timely data records related to the technical area of activity, such as food security and vulnerability analysis; collaborating and exchanging information with internal counterparts to support effective implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities; assisting in communication efforts with partners, NGOs, and local public institutions; serving as a point of contact for general inquiries regarding operations and seeking assistance when necessary; following standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP's readiness to respond quickly and deploy resources to affected areas at the onset of a crisis; gathering economic information and analyzing impacts on vulnerable livelihoods; providing technical assistance in conducting food security studies, including economic components; and developing proposals with economic indicators to understand determinants related to food security.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires the completion of secondary education, with a preference for candidates who possess a post-secondary education certificate in a relevant functional area. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in similar activities, demonstrating a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the role. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating communication with technical teams, contributing to program implementation, and participating in policy discussions as an observer or organizer. Knowledge of economic analysis in both macro and microeconomics is essential, along with strong analytical capabilities. Educational background in economic or social studies is highly valued, as it supports the analytical skills necessary for this position.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a post-secondary education certificate in a relevant functional area being highly desirable.
