Job Overview: The Project Officer (Urban Development) position is integral to the Water and Urban Development Sector Office within the Sectors Department 2 at ADB. This role involves leading or contributing to the processing and administration of loans, grants, and technical assistance (TAs) related to urban development. The officer will engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies and development partners, to resolve project-related issues and enhance capacity building. The position requires a proactive approach to project administration and portfolio management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with ADB Headquarters and local partners. The officer will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, preparing reports, and advising on procurement and financial management matters, thereby playing a crucial role in the successful implementation of urban development initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Officer (Urban Development) include administering loans and grants, implementing TAs in the Water and Urban Development sector, and engaging with stakeholders to facilitate project execution. The officer will lead the processing of new loans and grants, undertake work planning and delivery reviews, and monitor project progress through field missions. Responsibilities also encompass preparing forecasts for contract awards and disbursements, identifying issues, and implementing measures to address them.
