Job Overview: The UNV Communications Associate will play a crucial role in the World Food Programme’s APARO regional outpost based in Bangkok. This position involves supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of communication visibility through various digital communication platforms. The associate will work closely under the guidance of the Regional Head of Communications to strengthen the region’s digital presence and engagement. Duties and Responsibilities: The UN Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including media monitoring and reporting, content production, and video production. Specific duties include monitoring and analyzing media for current events and public opinion related to WFP’s mandates, producing regular social media analytics reports, and supporting the development of campaigns and video content for platforms like Twitter. The associate will coordinate the sourcing of multimedia content from Country Offices, assist in the production of campaign concept notes, and create multimedia products such as photo stories and data visualizations. Additionally, the role involves drafting video scripts and producing short videos for social media platforms, ensuring that all content aligns with WFP’s priorities and messaging.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
