Job Overview: The Finance Supervisor is a pivotal role within the GA/FL Finance team, tasked with overseeing essential accounting functions, particularly focusing on the timely and accurate invoicing of donors on a monthly and quarterly basis. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Supervisor will support the day-to-day financial operations, which include reviewing payments, managing accounts payable activities, preparing accounts receivable reports, and handling invoicing and CIK transactions. The supervisor will oversee the month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring that these processes are completed accurately and on time, in accordance with IRC policies. Additionally, the Finance Supervisor will assist in preparing and submitting financial reports and donor invoices, ensuring that all submissions meet scheduled due dates and contractual obligations. The role requires reviewing all accounting transactions, including credit card transactions and purchase orders, to ensure proper coding and timely processing before month-end close, as well as conducting variance analysis as necessary. The supervisor will direct and manage assigned finance staff, organizing workloads, assigning responsibilities, and providing daily guidance. This includes performing supervisory duties such as setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing training and coaching in line with IRC policies. The Finance Supervisor will also support the Budget & Planning Manager and Finance Director in ensuring compliance with funders' requirements and IRC internal controls, respond to finance-related inquiries from program leads and staff, and lead or support quarterly internal audit reviews. Participation in the annual budgeting process and collaboration with the Budget team throughout budget development and monitoring are also key responsibilities.
