Job Overview:
As a Graduate Electromechanical Technician, you will be an integral part of the ATLAS Technical coordination-team" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Coordination team, responsible for the daily operations of the ATLAS Detector infrastructure. This role involves contributing to the upgrade of the rack infrastructure necessary for the ATLAS Phase II upgrade. You will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art industrial equipment across various electrical and mechanical domains. The position requires a strong motivation to learn and perform electromechanical installations according to CERN standards, ensuring that you are well-prepared to handle the complexities of the role while adhering to safety and operational protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include decommissioning legacy rack infrastructure and installing and commissioning both electrical and electromechanical industrial equipment. This includes tasks such as setting up distribution crates, supervision and monitoring equipment, cables, cooling doors, and rack ventilation units. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment under the ATLAS Technical Coordination's purview, which encompasses component procurement and stock management. Additionally, you will support logistics organization for sorting equipment and materials, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. By the application deadline, you should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Your highest educational qualification must be a general secondary education diploma. It is important to note that applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree are not eligible for this position. Furthermore, you should not have previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position is a general secondary education diploma. This foundational qualification is essential as it demonstrates your basic understanding of the principles of electrical and mechanical engineering, which will be further developed through on-the-job training and formal education provided by CERN.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in relevant fields such as Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering. This experience should ideally include basic exposure to industrial electrical equipment and mechanical assemblies, which will be crucial for performing the duties associated with the role effectively.

Languages:
