Job Overview: The Water and Irrigation Specialist position is crucial for the FAO's efforts in Yemen, particularly in the assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of water resources management and irrigation systems. Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree with a specialization in water resource management, agriculture, civil works, irrigation, environmental science, or meteorology. Candidates must have obtained their qualifications from institutions accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The position requires at least five years of relevant experience in water resources management, particularly in working with water user associations and conducting groundwater and remote system analysis. Previous experience with international organizations is also highly desirable, as it demonstrates the ability to navigate complex environments and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
