Job Overview:
The Operation Information Management and Performance Reporting Officer (OIM) will play a crucial role in supporting all Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting activities within WFP. This position is designed to contribute to the establishment and presentation of a standard and consistent operating picture of WFP operations and associated results. The incumbent will work closely with the Deputy Head of Programme to ensure that the information management and performance reporting processes are standardized and of high quality. The role involves analyzing program and operational data to generate actionable insights that inform decision-making, prioritization, and adaptive programming. The OIM will also refine program performance metrics to assess progress against WFP’s strategic objectives and operational targets, producing concise analytical briefs and reader-friendly information products to support external communication and donor reporting. This position is vital in ensuring that WFP's operations are effectively communicated and that the organization can respond to the humanitarian needs of the populations it serves.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the OIM include ensuring adherence to standard OIM & PR procedures and templates, analyzing program and operational data, refining program performance metrics, producing analytical briefs and visualizations, supporting donor reporting and proposal development, maintaining a central repository of indicators and results, establishing structured filing systems, collating political and humanitarian analysis, and contributing to the implementation of the SPR Intelligent Next Generation system (SPRING). The OIM will also support the preparation of Standard Project Reports (SPRs), collaborate with other UN agencies, coordinate monthly and ad-hoc submissions to relevant working groups, enhance the capacity of WFP staff and partners in operational information management, guide junior staff, and contribute to corporate performance reporting improvements. The expected results include timely delivery of quality periodic and ad hoc reports.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. Additionally, for those holding a master’s degree, at least three years of postgraduate professional experience in relevant fields is required, while candidates with a bachelor's degree must have at least five years of relevant experience. Experience in information management, data management, geographic information systems, and data visualization is essential, particularly in emergency contexts. Coordination with partners and authorities is also advantageous. Strong written and oral communication skills, knowledge of information management best practices, and the ability to analyze and present information effectively are critical for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, Business Management, or Social Sciences. A master's degree is preferred, as it aligns with the experience requirements for the role.

Experience:
The level of experience required for this position varies based on educational qualifications. Candidates with a master's degree must have at least three years of relevant professional experience, while those with a bachelor's degree need a minimum of five years of experience in information management, data management, or related fields. Experience in emergency contexts and coordination with partners is highly valued, as it contributes to the effectiveness of the role.

Languages:
Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration within diverse teams and with various stakeholders.

This position is classified as an International Consultant (CST Level 1) and is based in Juba, South Sudan. The contract duration is for 11 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability.
