Job Overview: The STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Nigeria Program Officer II is tasked with supporting the implementation of project activities at the state level. This role involves providing administrative assistance and program management functions to ensure that the STRIDES Activity is executed effectively, adhering to schedules and budgets. The Program Officer will collect, compile, and analyze relevant information, support project-related communication, and monitor project budgets. Reporting directly to the STRIDES Nigeria Country Project Director, the Program Officer II will also be responsible for compliance documentation, tracking subcontractor deliverables, and coordinating with the technical team to prepare presentations and support project objectives. Regular evaluations of project progress and capacity building support for subgrantees are also key components of this role.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Officer will engage in various programmatic administration tasks, including supporting project management, delivering presentations, and leading meetings to ensure project needs are met. Responsibilities include synthesizing existing information into summaries of project progress, supporting compliance oversight, identifying project issues and risks, and coordinating with leadership to maintain project schedules and budgets. The officer will monitor subcontractor deliverables, collect metrics and data for reports, maintain project files, and facilitate communication with partners. Additionally, the role involves assisting with financial support by tracking performance against financial objectives, interpreting budgets, and serving as a liaison to internal finance units.
