Job Overview: The Senior Operations Assistant position is situated within the Regional Cooperation and Integration Unit (SERC) of the Southeast Asia Department (SERD) at ADB. This role is crucial for providing operational, administrative, and logistical support to various initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing regional cooperation in Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of SERC projects, technical assistance activities, and knowledge-sharing events. The position requires a proactive approach to managing administrative tasks, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively. The Senior Operations Assistant will work closely with international staff and senior officers, contributing to the overall success of the unit's objectives and initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Operations Assistant will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: providing administrative and operational support for SERC activities, such as regional cooperation initiatives and selected country operations; preparing routine correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and background materials; maintaining organized filing systems and administrative records; performing data entry and updates in corporate systems; monitoring and following up on projects and technical assistance activities; coordinating logistical arrangements for missions, meetings, workshops, and events; providing administrative support for capacity building and knowledge sharing activities; handling communications with internal and external stakeholders; contributing to workflow continuity by providing backup support during peak periods; and offering guidance on administrative processes to other staff members. The role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Senior Operations Assistant position must possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant discipline. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct background research and organize data effectively.
