Job Overview: The Director of Integrated Investment Operations is tasked with leading a transformative approach to how the Foundation executes grants, contracts, and sourcing. This role is pivotal in defining the operational model for investment-making, ensuring that processes are streamlined and effective in achieving program impact. The Director will serve as the primary business owner of the investment-making and management processes, focusing on creating a framework that balances risk management with operational efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the transformation of grants, contracts, and strategic sourcing into a cohesive investment operations function.
Define the operating model, business standards, and process expectations for investment-making and management.
Develop a clear vision and strategy for integrated investment operations that aligns with the Foundation's long-term goals.
Own and continuously improve the business processes for making and managing investments, ensuring compliance and risk management.
Collaborate with Legal to ensure that legal considerations inform business decisions.
Establish performance measures across the investment execution continuum and partner with analytics teams to evaluate effectiveness.
Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of investment operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess an advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field, although equivalent experience may be considered. A minimum of 15 years of dynamic leadership experience in process design and implementation is required, with a preference for backgrounds in grants management, contracts, procurement, or strategic sourcing within large organizations. Candidates should demonstrate experience in strategic planning, operational redesign, and leading through organizational change, as well as a strong understanding of risk-based compliance and governance in grantmaking and contracting environments.
