Job Overview:
As an Internal Auditor at CERN, you will be an integral part of the Internal Audit team, focusing on performing risk-based audits that enhance governance, risk management, and internal controls across the Organization and its Pension Fund. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audit planning, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration. You will be expected to deliver objective assurance through internal audits, prepare clear and actionable audit reports, and contribute to the development of risk-based audit plans. Additionally, you will support Audit Committee meetings and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including External Auditors, ensuring compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Internal Auditor will perform a variety of duties including conducting internal audits that provide risk-based and objective assurance. You will be responsible for preparing clear audit reports that include factual observations and actionable recommendations, as well as following up on the implementation of these recommendations. You will contribute to the creation of risk-based audit plans for CERN and its Pension Fund, support the Audit Committee meetings, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including External Auditors. Ensuring alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards is crucial, and you will participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. Staying informed on CERN activities and professional developments through training is also part of your responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess knowledge or experience in IT auditing or IT systems, and familiarity with accounting principles is essential. Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CA/CPA are considered advantageous. Strong communication and active listening skills are required, along with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Candidates must be capable of analyzing complex information, identifying key issues, and providing clear, concise conclusions using a structured and pragmatic approach. Objective decision-making based on available facts is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively in teams while managing tasks autonomously. Integrity, respect, diplomacy, and tact are also important attributes for this role, along with data analytics skills.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. It is important to note that applicants without a university degree are not eligible, and those with a PhD are also not eligible for this position. By the application deadline, candidates should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in the relevant fields.

Additional Notes:
