Job Overview: As an Internal Auditor at CERN, you will be an integral part of the Internal Audit team, focusing on performing risk-based audits that enhance governance, risk management, and internal controls across the Organization and its Pension Fund. Duties and Responsibilities: The Internal Auditor will perform a variety of duties including conducting internal audits that provide risk-based and objective assurance. You will be responsible for preparing clear audit reports that include factual observations and actionable recommendations, as well as following up on the implementation of these recommendations. You will contribute to the creation of risk-based audit plans for CERN and its Pension Fund, support the Audit Committee meetings, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including External Auditors. Ensuring alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards is crucial, and you will participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. Staying informed on CERN activities and professional developments through training is also part of your responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess knowledge or experience in IT auditing or IT systems, and familiarity with accounting principles is essential. Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CA/CPA are considered advantageous. Strong communication and active listening skills are required, along with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
