Job Overview:
The Senior Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the team and the Resident Office by providing essential administrative and budget-related support. This position requires interaction with various stakeholders, including colleagues across the Bank and external clients and institutions. The Senior Officer is expected to manage internal and external communications, assist in the preparation of documents for Bank committees, and coordinate various logistical aspects of meetings and travel. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in EBRD-specific applications and identifying opportunities for process improvements within the department. The Senior Officer will be responsible for budget management, reporting on departmental progress, and conducting research to support management in decision-making processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer's duties include assisting with the preparation and editing of internal documents for submission to Bank committees, managing correspondence and requests, acting as an IT Coordinator, and maintaining data accuracy in EBRD applications. The role also involves coordinating facilities and technical assistance for meetings, arranging travel logistics, managing consultant contracts, and monitoring the budget. Additionally, the Senior Officer will report on the department's operational plans, conduct research, and assist in producing reports and presentations. The position may require acting as a visa coordinator and liaising with the UN regarding security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security-clearance" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security clearance and safety documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree or equivalent business experience, with a recognized secretarial or business qualification being advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential, and knowledge of another language is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills, along with self-motivation and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical for this role, and fluency in Arabic and French is preferred, especially for roles specific to the Resident Office.

Educational Background:
A degree in a relevant field or equivalent business experience is required for this position. While a recognized secretarial or business qualification is not essential, it would be beneficial for candidates to have formal training in business administration or a related discipline.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant experience in a similar administrative role, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a good level of numeracy. Experience in budget management and familiarity with EBRD procedures would be advantageous. The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial for success in this position.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic and French is preferred, particularly for roles within the Resident Office.
