Job Overview:
The Registration Clerk position is crucial for the implementation of UNHCR's registration strategies and methodologies aimed at assisting displaced populations, including asylum seekers and refugees. The Registration Clerk will work under the supervision of the Head of Field Unit, collaborating with protection staff and partners to ensure that individuals with specific needs receive timely assistance. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Registration Clerk include assisting in the implementation of registration strategies, conducting registration interviews, maintaining up-to-date records of individual cases, and responding to queries from asylum seekers and refugees. The clerk will identify individuals with specific needs and ensure they are referred for protection follow-up. Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have experience in training, a basic understanding of protection principles, and familiarity with identity management software or databases. Proficiency in handling confidential and statistical data, along with good computer skills, particularly in data entry and management, is essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a University Degree in relevant fields such as Statistics, Economics, Information Management, or Social Sciences. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of data management and the principles of protection and assistance for displaced populations.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience, which can include internships. Candidates should have experience in training and a basic understanding of the principles of protection, registration, and assistance to asylum seekers and refugees. Experience working with identity management software or databases is also necessary, along with good knowledge of handling confidential and statistical data.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English, with an intermediate level (B2) being desirable. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly those relevant to the populations served by UNHCR in Ecuador.
