Job Overview: The Deputy Division Chief (DDC) for Operations & Planning, Design and Construction (OPS + PDC) at the IMF plays a crucial role in overseeing the performance and governance of Facilities Operations and Capital Projects delivery. This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization's built environment operates efficiently and effectively, encompassing daily operations, service delivery, capital planning, design, construction, and long-term asset renewal. The DDC will lead two critical portfolios: Facilities Operations, which focuses on the day-to-day management of facilities services, and Planning, Design & Construction, which ensures the disciplined delivery of capital programs that modernize and expand the facilities portfolio. The DDC will act as the primary point of accountability for facilities performance and will manage the HQ2 Asset Lifecycle Replacement Project, collaborating closely with various units to ensure budgetary accountability and effective reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities: The DDC will support the Division Chief (DC) in developing and executing the strategic direction and goals of the Division, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of the IMF. Responsibilities include planning, managing, and overseeing service delivery within assigned areas, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and reporting progress. The DDC will lead and supervise staff, focusing on performance management, coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Additionally, the DDC will advise on facilities risk, infrastructure resilience, and capital project delivery, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance service delivery. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related field with at least seventeen years of professional experience is acceptable. Candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in a related position at Grade A13 or equivalent will also be considered. Proven leadership and management experience, including staff and budget oversight, is essential, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Extensive experience in construction and delivering large, complex capital projects is required, along with the ability to lead change and implement innovative solutions in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
