Job Overview: The Extended-Term Temporary position within the Administration and Finance Team at ICSID is designed to support the day-to-day administrative finance processes related to ICSID cases. This role is practical and execution-focused, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The individual will manage multiple systems and processes in a busy environment, ensuring that financial operations related to arbitrator payments, refunds in concluded cases, and other financial processes are executed efficiently. The position is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of ICSID's operations and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position include triaging high volumes of incoming emails related to ICSID case finances, ensuring effective routing, tracking, and follow-up of requests. The individual will review arbitrator fee and expense claims, assist with processing refunds in concluded cases, prepare and track purchase order requests, monitor outstanding commitments, and follow up on invoices. Additionally, the role involves working with the Secretariat events team to capture costs related to hearings and meetings, maintaining finance templates and trackers, supporting improvements to finance workflows, and contributing to ongoing process enhancements within the finance function. The individual will also perform other assigned duties in support of ICSID's administrative and financial operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in operational, administrative, or finance-related support roles is required, preferably in an institutional or structured environment. Experience with enterprise systems or administrative platforms, such as SAP, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle high volumes of operational requests with accuracy and attention to detail, support operational workflows, and identify inefficiencies in routine processes. Strong Excel and data handling skills are necessary, along with clear written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
