Job Overview:
The position of Assistant(e) logistique / Gestion des contrats is crucial for the effective implementation of standardized logistics and supply chain processes within the World Food Programme. The role involves supporting the logistics team in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services across various operational modalities. The incumbent will report to a logistics officer or designated representative and will be responsible for executing a range of processes and activities that require interpretation of standard guidelines and practices. The Assistant will play a key role in recommending actions to staff at different levels and may delegate tasks to other support staff. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant(e) logistique / Gestion des contrats include, but are not limited to: supporting the update of logistics market analyses (LSMA) by collecting and updating information on logistics service providers, market rates, operational risks, and service availability; assisting in the pre-selection of suppliers by verifying their eligibility and ensuring compliance with WFP's transport manual; contributing to the preparation and initiation of logistics contracts, including drafting, organizing supporting documents, and ensuring adherence to institutional procedures; managing logistics contracts end-to-end, including amendments, tracking key deadlines, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms; responding to technical inquiries related to contracts in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders; processing contractual and operational documentation, including supplier registration records and customs-related documents; supporting the evaluation of logistics service providers' performance; compiling data for reports, including contributions to risk committee reports and contract closure documents; ensuring proper archiving of contracts in accordance with WFP's documentation management standards; liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate effective contract execution and problem resolution; and executing any other contractual or administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, as well as the ability to interpret and apply standard guidelines and practices. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in data collection and analysis is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Educational Background:

Experience:
