Job Overview: The position of Individual Contractor for Territorial Support Services involves providing consultancy services aimed at strengthening territorial strategies in Bogotá, Colombia. The contractor will be expected to engage in various activities that support social programs, community initiatives, and health-related projects. The role requires a proactive approach to working with local entities and communities, ensuring that the strategies implemented are effective and inclusive. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating efforts with social organizations and local actors to enhance community engagement and support vulnerable populations. This position is crucial for the successful implementation of social strategies that aim to improve the living conditions of marginalized groups in the region. The assignment is set for a duration of three months, during which the contractor will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to community development and social inclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor include but are not limited to:
Participating in the planning and execution of social strategies and programs aimed at community development.
Supporting the coordination and implementation of health and social inclusion initiatives in collaboration with local organizations.
Engaging with vulnerable populations to assess their needs and provide necessary support.
Assisting in the organization of community events, health brigades, and social outreach programs.
Collaborating with territorial entities and social organizations to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts.
Monitoring and evaluating the impact of implemented strategies and providing feedback for improvement.
Documenting activities and preparing reports on progress and outcomes of the initiatives.
Participating in training and capacity-building activities for local stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
For technicians or technologists: a minimum of 24 months (2 years) of experience in social, community, health, or inclusion programs.
For professionals: a minimum of 12 months (1 year) of experience in similar fields.
Proven experience in working with local communities and social organizations.
Strong understanding of social inclusion and community development principles.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate community engagement.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a technical degree, technology degree, or a professional degree in any field of knowledge. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications that align with the responsibilities of the role, particularly in social sciences, community development, or related areas.
Experience: Candidates must have relevant experience as outlined in the qualifications section. Technicians or technologists should have at least 2 years of experience, while professionals should have at least 1 year of experience in social programs, community initiatives, or health-related projects. Experience in direct or indirect work with vulnerable populations is highly valued.
Languages: The mandatory language for this position is Spanish. Candidates must be fluent in Spanish to effectively communicate with local communities and stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
