Job Overview: The consultant will be responsible for documenting the implementation process of a community communication strategy, from planning workshops to the initial stages of local action plan implementation. Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation of the process: Develop a detailed methodological note and audiovisual documentation plan outlining narrative angles, content types, and production timelines. Ensure audiovisual coverage of regional workshops (photography and video). Document the implementation activities of action plans on the ground. Maintain a regular presence during key project activities to ensure continuous and coherent documentation of the process.
Production of audiovisual content: Capture high-quality professional photos and videos that meet UNICEF's communication standards. Collect video and audio testimonials from beneficiaries, participants, and key project stakeholders.
Testimonials and human interest stories: Identify relevant cases that illustrate the changes induced by the project among parents, children, and professionals in coordination with the project team. Conduct respectful, ethical interviews suitable for children, adhering to child protection principles and informed consent. Write and/or script human interest stories that highlight concrete changes, inspiring journeys, and best practices.
Final summary film: Design the script for the final summary film in close collaboration with the project team. Produce a film that recounts the entire project, its main stages, results, and impacts, intended for communication, advocacy, and capitalization actions.
Required Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a diploma in audiovisual, communication, journalism, film, or a related field. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in photo and video production (shooting, editing, storytelling) and at least 3 years of experience in documenting social or community projects, as well as producing institutional or documentary films. Experience in human rights, children's rights, and social change themes is essential.
Educational Background: A diploma in audiovisual, communication, journalism, film, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the nuances of storytelling and effective communication in the context of UNICEF's mission.
Experience: Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in photo and video production, including shooting, editing, and storytelling.
