Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the National Consultant for Senior Specialist in Biodiversity include but are not limited to:
Conducting assessments of biodiversity and landscape governance in the project area.
Developing and recommending strategies for biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of natural resources.
Collaborating with local stakeholders to enhance community engagement in biodiversity initiatives.
Providing technical guidance and support to project teams and partners.
Preparing reports and documentation related to project activities and outcomes.
Facilitating workshops and training sessions to build capacity among stakeholders.
Monitoring and evaluating project progress and impact on biodiversity.
Ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Engaging in knowledge sharing and dissemination of best practices in biodiversity governance.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a set of qualifications that include a strong background in biodiversity conservation, environmental science, or a related field. Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
