Job Overview: The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer plays a crucial role in strengthening WFP's institutional positioning and building strategic partnerships in Venezuela. This position is responsible for establishing connections with national organizations and identifying collaboration and innovation opportunities. The officer will facilitate interactions with key counterparts, promote WFP's agenda on security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security and nutrition, and ensure the availability and organization of essential information for decision-making and the development of joint initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to resource mobilization and effective communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, ensuring that WFP's mission and objectives are effectively conveyed and supported.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of reports to donors and partners, ensuring compliance with established commitments.
Collect and present data on partnerships and contributions to support planning and appropriate use of financial resources.
Coordinate with country office units to produce rigorous reports for partners and donors that promote transparency, accountability, and trust, including monthly operational reports and the Annual Country Report (ACR).
Gather information and assist in the analysis and preparation of thematic reports on food assistance needs, resource utilization, program progress, and outcomes, ensuring coherence and quality.
Provide assistance in preparing proposals for resource mobilization, coordinating with various internal areas to ensure that information is complete and aligned with WFP's objectives.
Contribute to activities that strengthen relationships with donors and partners, supporting the implementation of WFP's Partnership Strategy in Venezuela.
Perform other support tasks as required.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in international studies, social sciences, political science, international development, or related fields. Additionally, candidates should have a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and practices, as well as experience in project management and reporting within the humanitarian or social project sectors. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Educational Background: A university degree in international studies, social sciences, political science, international development, or related fields is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in relevant areas may be advantageous.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management, reporting, and/or contributions management within the humanitarian sector or social projects is required. Experience in resource mobilization and partnership development is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory, with advanced spoken and written skills in both languages. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset.
